Christmas Day, 2008

Merry Christmas to all! What a wonderful year our family has had. Welcoming Greta into the world has been the best gift we could have ever imagined. We are so thankful to celebrate Christmas this year with my family in Cut Bank. My brother Scott came up from Denver and my step family were also here with their kids.

Greta Berkram, growing, growing, growing...

It has been awhile since our last post. Thanksgiving was alot of fun for the whole family. Many thanks to the Grovers for hosting all of us for a few days. And, thanks to Gary, Theresa and Seth for spending time here in Bozeman. As a Dad, each day brings new fun and exciting changes. The connection I have with Greta is more evident each time we together. She is a great cuddler and smiles a lot. She is very entertained as she gets her diaper changed on the changing table. I never thought I would say I look forward to changing diapers!

Greta on the weighing and measuring table (10 lbs. 4 oz. and 22.25 inches long). G is an overachiever being in the 50th percentile on everything. Thanks to all of you for the warning on the shots....NOT! I am not looking forward to the next set of those bad boys.

Kristi and G pre-shots. We were all happier then.

dito...

Had to put in the butt shot. Cute, Cute, Cute!

Greta is 8 weeks old...seems like yesterday

G and Grandpa Fred. Thanks for coming to visit!
Grandma Angie, Grandpa Fred and Greta.

Grandma Carol came to visit last weekend with Grandpa Roger to spend some time. It was great to see you guys. We will be spending Christmas in Cut Bank showing G off to the Cut Bank clan.

Jan and Bill Champion stopped to visit last weekend before the Cat game. Their grandson, Kyle Beggar, plays for the Cats. Jan is Grandpa Fred's sister from Miles City.

G hangin in the carseat. Kristi, Angie and Fred took her to Dillon today to do some shopping. They went to the Patagonia outlet to return some stuff and get G some new winter gear. Sweet!

Al Leppink and Joyce Sorge(Leppink) stopped on their way to Missoula from Billings. Good friends of the family and my first boss in the title business, Al is always fun to chat with. It was a nice visit and we had a good lunch at Ted's Montana Grill here in Bozeman. As you can see, Al is a griz fan, so we had some fun with Greta's shirt. As always, he is a great sport as he chalked up another win on me.

Cat Griz day with the Super G. Sadly, we were not celebrating a victory. We did have Greta dressed in her Bobcat gear to cheer on the team though. My gals wear the colors well. Special thanks to Dan Rossow from Ellensburg hooking G up with the cool onesy. We spent the game on Saturday at the house with Fred, Angie, Kristi, G and I. We will be leaving for Garrison on Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving with Pam, Jim, Gary, Theresa, Seth, Fred, Angie, Kristi, Greta and I.

Home from Ellensburg

We took our first long car trip with G this past weekend. As seems to be the case with her, she was a champ. We made record time going out and Mom and Dad had to stop to "rest" on the way back. She did have a little more difficult night last night since she slept the entire way home.

We enjoyed a great weekend with family and friends in Ellensburg. We also were able to show off our incredible daughter to everyone there. Many are following her changes and growth on the blog which makes it even more fun to do.

Tonight we spent some time with Nick and Jenny Johnson at their Security Title baby shower. Little Madeline is adorable and a really easy baby to connect with. She is 3 weeks older than Greta which makes it fun to see how Greta will change in such a short time. It is also fun to experience this wonderful change in life with others going through new parenthood as well.

Josie and Greta at Fred and Angie's house. Many thanks to Katie, Josie and Hannah for making the trip over from Seattle. It was certainly great to see you all.

Cousin Shelby changing her first diaper. A bit shaky but she had plenty of moral support. Way to go Shelby!

3 generations of Huschka women on Grandma Angie's birthday. Happy 40th Angie!!

Good friend David Zirkle also over from Seattle. Great to see you David....nice beard!!

Super G!!!!

Check out some pics of the Super G.

She and I hanging out on the couch watching some football. Kristi had her dressed in her Eminem hoody and she looked extra tough. G is doing great and adding to our lives each day. I finally reorganized the nursery for the 2nd time. We are "patiently" waiting for the crib to show up which is about 6 weeks behind schedule. Hopefully, she will be able to sleep in it before going to high school.
Harley and Deklin Emmons checking out The G. Harley informed Kristi to "get Wrigley away from me, he is freaking me out!" Sure, he is a bit "freaky". Sorry Wrigs. Harley also mentioned that she would like to be Greta's cousin.

Check out Greta wearing the same dress that her cousin Kelsey wore as a babe. Kelsey just celebrated her 21st birthday. Happy Birthday Kelsey!

Pretty in pink. What a doll.

G sporting the company colors....looks good on ya G! Hopefully, she won't have to get a job for a year or two.
Hi everyone it's me, Kristi. I am finally contributing to my baby girl's blog. I am glad everyone is enjoying seeing Greta through this. We are fortunate to share everyday with her and I can't imagine it any other way. I love this picture of Sandi and Mike with little G at dinner. It just portrays the love that Greta receives from her family.

I can never get tired of trying to shoot the perfect sleeping beauty picture. She is just soooooo precious. Greta is really a great baby and I am so blessed. I am having the time of my life getting to know this special person more and more each day. Well I am going to sign off now and get ready for bed. Good night y'all.

One month

Super G turns 1 month tomorrow and is growing fast. She took her first bottle last Friday night at the Peretto's wedding at Chico. It sounds like this was a pretty big thing as most babies tend to fight the bottle when they are used to their Mommy. Of course, I couldn't be more proud of my little princess. I have felt her really connecting with me through sight and touch which certainly melts my heart. It makes it even more difficult to leave each day for work. I am amazed at how she changes every day and becomes more of a little person. She is as cute as ever and each day is such a new and exciting blessing.

Kristi asked me to change her into her nighty the other night. Because I am a guy and not the most experienced in "baby" stuff, I put her in the nightgown. It was a bit snug and I had to "make her fit" a little bit. It wasn't till Greta was completely in the nighty that I realized she truly filled it up and it was border line too small. She looked like a super hero because it was so snug (Super G). But.....she was still cute, and, of course, wasn't bothered by it a bit. That's my girl!! It didn't even enter my mind that she is getting bigger and the stuff she wore last week may not fit today. As they say, "live and learn". Sorry G.
